For our 10th wedding anniversary, Sean arranged for us to getaway to a cozy cottage right on the coast near Mullaghmore.
For our 10th wedding anniversary, Sean arranged for us to getaway to a cozy cottage right on the coast near Mullaghmore. As soon as we arrived, memories from our courtship came flooding back. We spent the afternoon taking a long walk along the shoreline, just as we used to do as teenagers. The sun sparkled on the ocean and seabirds called out overhead as the waves crashed gently against the rocky cliffs. I felt transported back to our early days of young love. That evening, tired but happy, we made a cosy fire and cooked up a local seafood stew. As we ate watching the sun go down over the water, Sean and I reminisced about our lives in this place. I thought about summer days collecting shells as kids, exchanging vows a decade prior in the little church overlooking the bay. I felt gratitude for our enduring bond and faith in what more adventures our lives might hold in the years to come.
