Sixty years ago in this very city, a chance meeting between two young teachers changed our lives forever. I was walking along Princes Street on my lunch break when I noticed Sarah struggling with an armful of books. Being the gentleman that I am, I rushed over to offer my assistance. Our eyes met and in that moment I swear I felt a spark. We chatted all through lunch and well past our break was over. Before parting ways, I shyly asked Sarah out for dinner that weekend. She said yes with a radiant smile. The rest as they say is history. We married after two years of dating and have been inseparable ever since. Now sixty years later as we celebrate our diamond anniversary, I still get butterflies when Sarah smiles at me with those gorgeous eyes. Through raising our children, changing careers, and weathering life's ups and downs together, our love has only deepened with time. I am grateful beyond words for this amazing woman by my side and look forward to creating many more happy memories in the years to come.
